Sensor Fusion

The strengths and weaknesses of each sensor

A vehicle undergoing sensor fusion. Two sensor obtained conflicting information about how far away the object was so the signals were combined to ensure the most accurate signal is sent to the vehicle

Machine Learning

A deep neural network has multiple hidden layers. These hidden layers decompose and understand the data it is given in the input layer. The final decision the vehicle has come to will be outputted in the output layer

The propagation equation of a neural network that allows the data to propagate between each layer

This chart is to show that in a study done in 2007, 92.3% of all accidents were due to human error. That means that with the introduction of autonomous vehicles in society we can minimize the amount of collisions by around 90%.
